This could be a terrific medium for both activating knowledge and also building background knowledge before reading. Let's say the elementary school guided reading group is reading about animals. Creating a VoiceThread could bring your students knowledge of animals back to the forefront of your mind and provide an opportunity to introduce a few new animals too.
